kaiser chiefs digi-pak analysis

The front cover of the kaiser chiefs album "employment" features a quote "box full of tricks" the box is meant to be the album case commenting how good the music is "thrills for all" and box of tricks, a box of tricks is useuall associated with magic or games that are typically used to amuse people.
The illustration is what looks like a box that has been covered in snakeskin or snakeskin paper . Snakeskin is synonumus with the extravagant and special in this case it can be showing that inside the "box full of tricks" is going to be special.
The rear of the cover shows the useual barcode and copyright statements aswell as the records featured on the album however this CD also features the bands website and uses this as extra advertising and increase traffic to the website where they may have other ways to part fans from there money on merchandise.
Inside the digi-pak are the lryics to each of the songs this is not disimilar to digi-paks from other bands, this gives the cd owner or listener a chance to sing along or read them until they now the words. You know you've made it as a band when poeple can sing along to your songs.
Towards the end of the booklet is board game squares and fake money relating back to the cover and the box full of tricks it also introduces the members on a set of cards, it gives us there names and there role in the band. Being on the cards that are in the box is suggesting that they are the tricks inside the boxand listening to them will provide the thrills for everyone.
