Hypodermic syringe theory.

The hypodermic syringe theory is an idea that people can view a media text and will then have views and ideas from that media text planted into their heads i.e. like a syringe. This theory is strongest with the video games example when young children are playing violent video games and will then proceed to copy or replicate what they have done whilst playing within the video game.

This comes across into music and rap videos such as Eminem making violent videos is then viewed by young people who once again replicate what they have seen which is known as the hypodermic syringe theory.

This could relate to our video because it features sexist comments although light hearted and comical some could argue that the lyrics are pushing ideas into the viewers minds. On the other hand with our target audience, not many young poeple who are vulnreable to this kind of thought subjection will be vieing the music video
